Katharina has over 30 years of combined experience as a Physiotherapist within private practice in Germany and Ireland. She is a registered Physiotherapist with the ISCP and CORU. Katharina qualified with an Honours degree in Physiotherapy from Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich in 1990. She completed a Certificate as Bruegger Therapist in 1991 and in Manual Therapy from Hamm FAC in 1993. Katharina worked in a Rehabilitation Centre in Augsburg, before moving to Ireland. Since then, she has worked in the CRC, before establishing her own private practice in 1994 in Swords and Donabate. In addition she managed a Neurological Rehabilitation Day Centre for acquired brain injuries and covered national and international tennis tournaments as Physio on site.
In 2005 she joined Seabury Medical Centre as part of a multidisciplinary team.
My aim is to help you with your symptoms by listening, and assessing your physical presentation. Together we can work on a plan to reduce pain and increase your mobility. You will gain important education about your condition, how to manage your symptoms and set goals. Where suitable I will use manual therapy to assess, diagnose and treat you, supported by Electrotherapy to speed up recovery. You will leave with an individual online exercise program, which can track your progress. My main interest is management of musculoskeletal conditions by Education, “Hands- on” approach and tailored exercise program.
