During this consult our doctors can safely deal with 1 or 2 issues. Usually this will be something that has made you feel unwell in the last few days, not something that you have been suffering from for years. Typical issues would include Coughs/Colds/Fevers, Urinary Tract or Kidney Infections, Routine Script such as Contraceptive Pill etc, Headache or Gastritis. It can take 5-15 minutes to safely diagnose and manage a single issue for one patient, depending on complexity, so we must allow enough time to do this.
If you feel you require a longer appointment time, this can be requested at the time of booking. Issues that require an extended consultation include an initial menopause consultation, a new mental health issue, multiple issues to review and second opinions. The main reason for this is to keep our appointments running on time. We have a patient booked in every 15 minutes so it is essential that we keep on schedule out of fairness to all our patients.
We keep a number of appointments reserved for urgent cases. We recommend calling the office early in the morning to avail of these. If you call in the afternoon it is unlikely that your request will be accommodated and you may be directed to D Doc.

If you wish to see a specific doctor there may be a longer wait and you may be offered an earlier appointment with a different doctor. Pressure for appointments can also increase when a doctor is on leave or sick.
Emails are only checked sporadically throughout the day. For an appointment please phone the office or book directly using the Pippo App.
Please request this at the time of booking your appointment. It is not safe to rush through assessing your child’s condition.
Please call the office as soon as possible. Arriving 15 minutes late, results in two patients arriving at the same time, and delaying all subsequent appointments.
Patients who do not attend on multiple occasions without contacting the practice to cancel, may be requested to leave the practice. If a new patient fails to turn up for their first patient appointment, it is the policy of the practice not to offer a further appointment, such is the demand for appointments.
These are reserved for terminally ill patients.
